Waterproof Contact Microphone

£25+ p&p

Out of stock until May.

Waterproof. Very tough. Would you dare put any of your other microphones into a milkshake? Or bury them in the dirt? I didn’t think so.

Magnetic Waterproof Contact Microphone

£25+ p&p

Out of stock.

As above, but chock-full of magnets. Stick it to a bus, a street sign, your radiator, a metal ruler or Wolverine’s skull. Maybe keep it away from your hard drive. Due to the magnet these are more sensitive to electromagnetic noise. That’s not necessarily a negative!

Cable Microphone

£20 + p&p

High quality electret condenser mics. These things sound great, and due to their tiny size and cable length can be fed into wall cavities, down pipes, into hollow trees etc. Shielded cable, high quality jacks. Super portable. They require plug-in power as found on most portable recorders. I found this mic to be particularly useful for recording the sounds of a payphone, I just taped it to the receiver with electrical tape.

These microphones require plug-in power, between 3v-10v, as found on most portable recorders. I can a battery box for £20, email me for information.

Stethophone

£25 p&p

A stethoscope featuring an electret condensor microphone. Great for rumbling stomachs, heart beats, breathing, crunchy joints and so on. I can confirm they record dog hearts very well.

These microphones require plug-in power, between 3v-10v, as found on most portable recorders. I can a battery box for £20, email me for information.

Contact Mic Kit

Prices available on request!

This kit contains a cable featuring crocodile clips and three spare piezo-transducers (contact mics). The idea is that you can put the mics in places you mightn’t have otherwise dared, as if the piezo gets ruined, you can just clip a new one on in seconds.
